A case of nostalgia

South Norwood's Craft Beer Cabin is not only renowned for its stellar beer selection; it's also a haven for local rock and metal fans. Nick and Josie, owners of the Cabin, wanted to find a way to showcase the music playing at their cozy bar - a way to give their guests a nostalgic glimpse back into the album art and spark conversations around their favourite tunes. This custom-created device aims to reignite the magic of the physical side of music in the digital age - a way to bring back part of the experience of exploring a friend's CD collection whilst getting to know them through the music they loved. It was designed to blend in seamlessly with the bar's warm and inviting atmosphere, connecting seamlessly with their in-house music system. The primary aim of this addition to the space was to spark conversations and invoke nostalgia - so there are intentionally no bells or whistles to be found. It does one thing and one thing well - a truly considerate connected object.
