2016 · Nike (with Random Studio) · Backend video pipeline & on-site installation

BackendVideo pipelineInstallation

With the Infinity Room, users could experience Nike's shoes by actually wearing them in action. Amid a pulsing light- and soundscape, and fully surrounded by mirrors, the athlete-for-the-moment ran on a real treadmill into what seemed to be infinity. Automatically triggering cameras, runners were filmed from three different angles: front, feet and back. As a bonus, they were presented with a personalized kaleidoscopic video – created in real time and delivered within seconds afterwards to their inbox. We traveled to Rio de Janeiro for the 2016 olympic games to install and run this installation in the athletes' village. I worked to set up and install the structure with the technical team on-site, and I was responsible for the creation of the back-end video render handover and checkout processes.
